The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of characters who will split off from the central cast to begin their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table features Teor (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might look out of place, but the actions of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—exploited the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, desires revenge.
  • The adventurer knows the region and cautions that it is a hostile place.
  • The strong character and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could enable the party reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them few options but to head to Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

According to the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Questers and Strategists parties.

Viewers can expect finding out which adventurers will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on the upcoming Thursday.
